BSA Pack # 355

About Us

Pack 355 was established in 1959 and has a rich history closely linked to our community.  Sadly, we are the last remaining Cub Scout Pack in Millbrae, but we continue to thrive. We are part of the Pacific Skyline Council's Discovery District.  Since 2013, we have been proudly chartered through The Millbrae Lions Club along with Boy Scout Troop 355.

Pack 355 serves the Boys and, as of 2018, Girls of Millbrae, CA, but we have members from many surrounding communities, too.  We balance evolution with tradition to meet the needs of our diverse demographic and continue to deliver a high-quality Cub Scouting experience for the 1st through 5th Graders of our community.

Pack 355 is composed of Dens grouped by Grade:

  • Tigers - 1st Grade
  • Wolves - 2nd Grade
  • Bears - 3rd Grade
  • Webelos I - 4th Grade
  • Webelos II - 5th Grade

In a typical year, our Pack activies consist of (note: Each Den also has Grade-appropriate activities):

  • Monthly Pack Meetings (with main activity like Urban Night Hike, Law Enforcement demonstrations, Paper Airplane Derby)
  • Community service activities (Scouting For Food, Memorial Day Flag Planting/Retrieval, Earth Day tree-planting or clean up, Caroling and Tree-Lighting Ceremony)
  • Performing Flag Ceremonies and Pledge of Allegiance in support of local events
  • Fundraising (Popcorn sales)
  • Marquee events (Pinewood Derby car racing and Raingutter Regatta boat racing)
  • Fire Circle and Camping

We work closely with our sister organization, Boy Scout Troop 355, on many activities and, most of our Webelos 2 elect to bridge over to continue their Scouting career.

It Takes a Village...

This high-quality program is only made possible through efforts of our cadre of parent volunteer leaders. We ALWAYS can use any and all help.  We create a culture of inclusion where EVERYONE helps to "carry the load"!
